GLOBAL EQUITY MARKET OF 2nd March 2021
Asian stock markets traded mixed on Tuesday after Wall Street rose as a wave of investor concern about possible higher interest rates receded.
In Asia, the SGX Nifty surged 1.29%, kospi jumped 1.03%, Jakarta composites gained 0.33%, set composites rose 0.16%, starits times gained 0.03% whereas shanghai composite lost 1.21%, hang seng fell 1.21%, Nikkei 225 plunged 0.86%, Taiwan weighted lost 0.04%.
European market traded higher on Tuesday as U.S. bond yields continued to retreat. The market fluctuations come as Treasury yields retreat from their highs of last week. The 10-year U.S. Treasury note yield was down at around 1.4394% on Tuesday morning.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 0.56%, the CAC surged 0.24%, DAX gained 0.24%.
