GLOBAL EQUITY MARKET OF 5th JAN 2021
Asian shares were mostly lower on Tuesday as worries grow about surging coronavirus cases in the region.
The Set Composite surged 2.62%, the Kospi rose 1.57%,the Shanghai Composite gained 0.73% and the Hang Seng rose 0.64%. The Nikkei 225 lost 0.37%.
European stocks were mostly higher on Tuesday morning as investors monitored the coronavirus pandemic and the imposition of further restrictions, along with a U.S. Senate runoff election in Georgia.
The FTSE 100 gains 0.39%. The DAX is off 0.22% and the CAC lose 0.16%.
North and South American markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices.
