GLOBAL EQUITY MARKET OF 29th JAN 2021

Asian Market traded lower as investors struggled to kickstart a rebound after a painful week for global equities that has been characterised by fears over surging infections and a stuttering vaccine rollout.

The Kospi was down 3.03%, Jakarta composite fell 1.96%,Nikkei 225 plunged 1.89%,Taiwan Weighted lost 1.80%,SGX Nifty lost 1.09% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng was off 0.94% and China's Shanghai Composite was lower by 0.63%.

European Market plunged as market jitters persist over a retail trading frenzy that has rocked Wall Street.

The CAC 40 is lower by 1.14%, while the DAX is down 1.14% and the FTSE is lower 1.20% respectively.
