Asian shares were traded higher on Monday as bullish sentiment persisted despite continuing signs of economic damage from the pandemic.
The Nikkei 225 gained 2.36% ,the Jakarta composite surged 2.00%,the SGX Nifty jumped 0.83%, the Hang Seng rose 0.11%. The Shanghai Composite lost 1.08%,the straits times plunged 0.31%,the kospi fell 0.12%.
European stocks plunged on Monday as investors booked profits after a strong week, while surging coronavirus cases across the continent and mainland China dragged down energy and mining stocks.
The CAC 40 is lower by 0.45%, the DAX and the FTSE 100 is trading lower by 0.53% and 0.28% respectively.
