DOMESTIC EQUITY MARKET ENDED FLAT ON TODAY’S SESSION

Domestic Equity Market ended flat on Wednesday mainly dragged by financials and pharma sectors. Index heavyweights HDFC, RIL, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Bank contributed the most to the losses.Net Buying of FII/FPI was at Rs.1879.06 crore while Net selling of DII was at Rs.2,370.17 crore. The Sensex ended 24.79 points lower at 49,492.32 levels with shares of M & M , SBI, ITC, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, ONGC gained over 6.24%, 4.80%, 2.35%, 2.24%, 2.21%, 1.78%, 1.69% respectively while shares of Bajaj Finance, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, Titan, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy were the losers with a loss of 2.85%, 2.76%, 1.95%, 1.48%,1.25%, 1.23% respectively.The Nifty was up 1.40 point to settle at 14,564.85 levels with indexes like Auto, Bank, Energy, Metal, FMCG were having gains of 0.88%,0.73%, 0.58%, 0.38%, 0.37% respectively while Pharma, Realty Indexes were the losers with a loss of 0.92%, 0.31% respectively.

Mahindra gained over 6% as the company has cut more than half of the workforce at its North American unit due to the COVID-19 pandemic and an ongoing legal tussle.

SBI rose over 4% as FD interest rates of SBI effective between seven to 45 days will now fetch 2.9 percent.

NTPC jumped over 2% NTPC Limited has invited bids to select developers for setting up 190 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects at Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan.
