COMMODITY MARKET: GOLD PRICES DOWN ₹7000 FROM RECORD HIGHS, SILVER DROPS

Domestic commodity market was trading negatively on Friday as all the commodities failed to hold its gains except Mentha oil. On MCX, Mentha oil stood as top gainer while Crude oil was top loser in evening trading session.

Commodities Buzz:

Bullion prices slid today in Indian markets amid weak global cues. Gold and silver prices rose today in Indian markets today, extending the sharp gains of the previous session. On MCX, gold futures dipped 1.03% to ₹48939 per 10 gram while silver dropped 1.85% to ₹66056 per kg. In the previous session, gold had dipped 0.18% while silver edged up 0.5%. MCXBULLDEX Feb delivery was trading 1.17 % lower at ₹ 15270 unit.

Crude oil for the February delivery declined by 2.52 per cent, to ₹3796 per barrel and touched an intraday high of ₹3859 and an intraday low of ₹3776 per barrel. Crude oil futures decline on low demand.Natural Gas Jan delivery traded lower by 1.60% at Rs. 177.80 per mmBtu.

MCXMELTDEX Feb delivery was trading 1.53 % lower at 13620 unit. Base metals prices pull back as markets generally take a breather. Base metals have shown bearish line led by 2.16% fall in nickel to ₹ 1311.40 per kg and 2.02% drop in Copper to ₹ 602.40 per kg. Zinc and aluminium were both down by 1.14% and 1.04% respectively. Lead down by 0.68% at ₹ 161.05 per kg.

Under Agri index, Cotton Jan delivery was trading down by 0.65% to ₹ 21410 per bales and CPO was trading down above 1% while Mentha oil was up by 0.18% at ₹. 972.80 per kg.
