INDIAN EQUITY MARKET WITNESSED BUYING NTEREST IN THE AFTERNOON SESSION

Domestic Equity Market ended the volatility session on a higher note on Thursday led by gains in metals, FMCG and IT stocks. Net buying in FII/FPI was at Rs.944.36 crore while net selling of DII was at Rs.707.68 crore. The Sensex ended 222.13 points or 0.43 points higher at 51,531.52 with shares of Reliance, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Finance, Powergrid, Nestle India, Bharti, HUL, HCL Tech were the gainers with a gain of 4.07%, 2.62%, 1.60%, 1.59%, 1.45%, 1.41%, 1.19%, 1.16% respectively while shares of Titan, L & T, HDFC Bank, ITC, ONGC, SBI, HDFC ,Infosys were having loss of 2.50%, 1.43%, 0.70%, 0.53%, 0.50%, 0.48%, 0.43%, 0.32% respectively. The Nifty closed at 15,173.30, up 66.80 points, or 0.44 percent with indexes like Energy, Metal, FMCG, IT Indexes were having gains of 1.35%, 1.02%, 0.81%, 0.61% whereas Indexes like Auto, Realty, Media, Bank Indexes were having loss of 0.41%, 0.26%, 0.24%, 0.09% respectively.
