COMMODITY MORNING UPDATE: YELLOW METAL GAINS; SILVER RISES OVER 1%

Domestic Commodity Market traded with positively in morning session. All the commodities were trading higher except Natural Gas. Silver stood as top gainer and continued to trade higher as rally in base metals. Under Base metals commodities, Aluminium, Copper, and Zinc were trading up above 1 %. At the same time Nickel and Lead were trading nearly 1 % up.

Gold prices in India traded flat with a positive bias on MCX Thursday tracking a subdued trend in the international spot prices, while a weak dollar supported the prices. Silver prices also rallied over 1 per cent. Gold future for April delivery rose 0.27% at RS. 466648 per 10 gm as against the previous close of Rs. 46522 and opening price of Rs. 46443 per 10 gm on the MCX. Silver futures traded 1.28 percent higher at Rs 70431 per kg. The prices opened at Rs 70126 per kg as compared to the previous close of Rs 69543 per kg. The trend in gold prices looks positive on a weak US dollar.
