INDIAN EQUITY MARKET FELL ON TODAY AMID ACROSS-THE-BOARD SELL-OFF.

Domestic Equity Market lower on Friday dragged by selling across the board amid weak global cues.

The BSE Sensex tanked 633.76 points, or 1.63 per cent, to settle at 38,357.18 levels.1 out of 30 stocks was in advance while 29 stocks were in decline .It touched intraday high of 38,729.66 and low of 38,249.77.

The NSE's Nifty ended at 11,333.85, down 193.60 points or 1.68 per cent. 1 out of 50 stocks was in advance while 49 stocks were in decline .It touched intraday high of 11,452.05 and low of 11,303.65.

On Sectoral Front, Media, Auto, IT, FMCG, Energy, Pharma, Bank, Realty, Metal Indexes were the losers with a loss of 3.01%, 2.33%,2.21%, 2.00%,1.91%, 1.56%, 1.50%, 0.66%, 0.19% respectively.

On BSE, Shares of Maruti was in gainer side with a gain of 1.70% while shares of Axis Bank ,Tata steel, SBI, NTPC ,Bharti Airtel ,ITC,ICICI Bank were the losers with a loss of 4.07%, 3.78%, 3.05%, 3.02%,2.80%, 2.61%,2.60% respectively.

On NSE, Shares of Maruti was in gainer side with a gain of 1.76% while shares of Tata steel, Axis Bank, Adani Ports, JSW steel, NTPC, Tata Motors, SBI, Grasim were the losers with a loss of 3.99%, 3.83%, 3.55%, 3.37%, 3.075, 3.06%, 3.06%, 2.79%, 2.55% respectively.

Asian markets skidded Friday after Wall Street had its worst day since June, as investors’ exuberance faltered after a spate of record highs.

European stocks advanced Friday, rebounding from the previous session’s losses fueled by Wall Street’s tech sell-off, with banks powering the major indices into positive territory.
