INDIAN EQUITY MARKET ENDED LOWER ON MONDAY AMID SELLING IN BLUECHIP STOCKS

Domestic Equity Market ended lower on Monday due to selling in blue-chip counters such as HDFC Bank, HDFC, Reliance Industries (RIL), ICICI Bank, and Bharti Airtel.

The BSE Sensex ended 97.92 points, or 0.25 per cent to settle at 38,756.63 levels.10 stocks out of 30 stocks were in advance while 20 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 39,230.16 and low of 38,573.17.

The NSE's Nifty ended at 11,440.05, down 24.40 points, or 0.21 per cent. 16 out of 50 stocks were in advance while 34 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 11,568.90 and low of 11,383.55.

On Sectoral Front, IT, Realty, Media, Auto Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 4.44%, 3.72%, 1.49%, 0.73% respectively while Bank, Energy, FMCG, Pharma, Metal Indexes were in the losers with a loss of 1.77%, 0.95%, 0.81%, 0.76%, 0.09% respectively.

On BSE, Shares of HCL Tech, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Titan, Bajaj Auto ,NTPC, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra ,Ultratech Cement were the gainers with a gain of 10.08%,5.00%,3.44%,3.09%,1.81%,0.90%,0.83%,0.34%, 0.33%, 0.16% respectively while shares of Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Powergrid, SBI,HDFC Bank ,Sun Pharma, Kotak Bank Were in the losers with a loss of 3.46%, 2.91%, 2.06%, 2.05%, 1.91%, 1.90%, 1.89% respectively.

On NSE, Shares of HCL Tech, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, UPL, Infosys, Adani Ports, Tata Motors, Titan were the gainers with a gain of 10.60%, 4.85%, 4.45%, 3.38%, 2.99%, 2.90%, 2.54%, 2.15%, 1.88% respectively while shares of Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, BPCL, Powergrid, SBI, Grasim, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank were the losers with a loss of 3.77%, 3.17%, 3.16%,237%,2.22%, 2.13

TOP STOCKS IN NEWS:

Shares of HCL Tech gained over 10% after the IT major revised upwards its outlook for the current quarter, which ends on September 30.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) rose nearly 5% as the company became the second Indian firm to attain a market valuation of over Rs 9 lakh crore after Reliance Industries Limited.

Infosys jumped over 2% after the company announced a definitive agreement to acquire Guide Vision.
