CRUDE OIL FUTURES PLUNGED ON MIXED GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Sep contract was trading at Rs. 3003.00 per barrel, down by 1.83%, after opening at Rs.3060.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 3059.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 2996.00 per barrel and high of Rs.3060.00 per barrel in the future market.

Silver prices edged lower to Rs 67,890.00 per kg on September 3 as participants increased their short positions.

Natural gas futures eased to Rs 181.70 per mmBtu on September 3 as participants increased their short positions.

Zinc prices on Thursday fell by 0.74 per cent to Rs 195.10 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from spot market.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, Commodities like CPO future was the gainer, gained by 0.82% .While Commodities like Nickel, Crude Oil, Copper, Zinc, Cotton, Silver, Natural Gas, Aluminium, Lead, MCX Bulldex, Mentha Oil, Gold Petal, GoldM, Gold Guinea, Gold were the losers with a loss of 2.68%, 1.83%, 1.01%, 0.74%, 0.73%, 0.65%, 0.55%, 0.38%, 0.30%, 0.21%, 1.13%, 0.10%, 0.07%, 0.05%,0.05% respectively.
