CRUDE OIL WAS TRADED WITH NEGATIVE NOTES ON LOW DEMAND

At the MCX, Crude Oil futures for Oct contract was trading at Rs. 2968.00 per barrel, down by 0.03% after opening at Rs.2952.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 2969.00per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 2932.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 2994.00 per barrel in the future market.

Crude oil futures on Monday fell by 0.03 per cent to Rs 2,968.00per barrel as rising coronavirus cases upset hopes for a smooth recovery in fuel demand.

Natural gas futures dropped to Rs 202.30 per mmBtu on September 28 as participants increased their short positions as seen by the open interest.

Gold traded lower on Monday amid a resurgent US dollar, which is being seen as the preferred safe haven asset amid renewed risk aversion in global financial markets.

Silver prices slumped to Rs 58,853 per kg on September 28 as participants increased their short positions as seen by the open interest.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, Commodities like Zinc, Cardamom, Copper, Mentha Oil, Cotton, Aluminium, Nickel, CPO futures were the gainers, gained by 1.23%, 0.78%, 0.45%, 0.39%, 0.39%, 0.35%, 0.34%, 0.18% respectively. On other hand, Natural Gas, Gold, MCX Bulldex, Silver, GoldM, Gold Petal, Lead, Gold Guinea, Crude Oil Futures were the losers, lose by 3.34%,0.38%, 0.33%, 0.29%, 0.29%, 0.26%, 0.24%, 0.08%, 0.03% respectively.
