INDIAN EQUITY MARKET EXTENDED GAINS FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE SESSION

Domestic Equity Market closed with gains on Wednesday led by gains in Reliance Industries after Abu Dhabi Investment Authority said that it will invest Rs 5,512.50 crore in Reliance Retail Ventures.

The BSE Sensex ended 304.38 points, or 0.77 per cent higher at 39,878.95 levels.16 out of 30 stocks were in advance while 14 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 39,968.04 and low of 39,450.82.

The Nifty 50 index settled at 11,738.85, up 76.45 points, or 0.66 per cent. 26 out of 50 stocks were in advance while 24 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 11,763.05 and low of 11,629.35.

On Sectoral Front, Auto, IT ,Bank, FMCG Indexes were the gainers with a gain of 1.39%,0.58%,0.49%,0.38% respectively whereas Media, Realty, Metal, Pharma, Energy Indexes were the losers with a loss of 2.54%, 1.85%, 1.52%,0.79%, 0.35% respectively.

On BSE, Shares of Titan, Bajaj Auto,Maruti,Reliance,Ultratech Cement,ONGC,HDFC Bank were the gainers with a gain of 4.44%,3.55%, 2.28%, 2.13%, 1.79%, 1.66%, 1.56% respectively while shares of Bajaj Finance,Powergrid,Sun Pharma, Tata steel,NTPC,Bajaj Finserv,Kotak Bank were the losers with a loss of 4.12%,2.24%, 1.76%, 1.74%, 1.60%, 1.39%, 1.08% respectively.

On NSE, Shares Titan, Bajaj Auto, Hero Moto Corp, Maruti, Reliance, ONGC, Shree Cement ,Eicher Motors, Wipro were the gainers with a gain of 4.50%, 3.63%, 2.86%, 2.32%, 2.22%, 2.02%, 2.01%, 1.88%, 1.80% respectively while shares of Bajaj Finserv ,BPCL, Hindalco, Tata motors, Powergrid, Coal India, Tata steel, NTPC, Sun Pharma were the losers with a loss of 4.07%, 2.78%, 2.66%, 2.49%, 2.27%, 2.01%,1.84%, 1.78%,1.74% respectively.

Asian markets fluctuated on Wednesday as traders weighed Donald Trump's decision to call off talks on a much-needed stimulus against expectations a rescue package will eventually be passed by whoever wins next month's election.

European stocks were mixed on Wednesday as investors digested a robust round of earnings and President Trump’s decision to halt stimulus talks until after the November election.

Titan gained over 4% after the company said its jewellery business did very well in the September quarter (Q2FY21), with a recovery rate of around 98 per cent (excluding sale of raw gold), compared to the revenue of the corresponding quarter in the last year.

Reliance gained over 2% as Abu Dhabi Investment Authority said that it will invest Rs 5,512.50 crore in Reliance Retail Ventures.

HDFC Bank gained over 1% as the bank announced a tie-up with Apollo Hospitals through which its customers can avail unsecured loans of up to ₹40 lakh to pay for medical expenses incurred at the healthcare chain.
