INDIAN EQUITY MARKET ENDED OVER 1.50% ON TODAY’S TRADING SESSION LED BY GAINS IN BANKING AND MEDIA STOCKS.

Domestic Equity Market ended higher on Thursday led by gains in banking and media stocks.

The BSE Sensex ended 629.12 points, or 1.65 per cent higher at 38,697.05 levels .25 out of 30 stocks were in advance while 5 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 38,738.89 and low of 38,410.20.

The Nifty50 settle at 11,416.95, up 169.40 points or 1.51 per cent.39 out of 50 stocks were in advance while 11 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 11,428.60 and low of 11,347.05.

On Sectoral front, all the indexes were the gainers. Bank, Media ,Realty, Metal, IT, Auto, FMCG, Pharma, Energy Indexes were having a gain of 3.70%, 2.80%, 1.79%, 0.83%, 0.80%,0.73%,0.56%, 0.43%, 0.15% respectively.

On BSE, Shares of IndusInd Bank,Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank,ICICI Bank,Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv,Kotak Bank were the gainers with a gain of 12.41%,5.09%,4.44%,4.02%, 3.91%,3.69%,3.45%,2.93% respectively while shares of ITC,NTPC,Reliance,ONGC,Titan were the losers with a loss of 0.52%, 0.47%, 0.39%, 0.22%, 0.15% respectively.

On NSE, Shares of IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto ,ICICI Bank,Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports ,Bajaj Finserv were the gainers with a gain of 12.44%, 5.04%, 4.10%, 4.09%, 3.88%, 3.80%, 3.57%, 3.38% respectively while shares of Dr. Reddy, ONGC,ITC ,NTPC, Titan, Hindalco, Reliance, BPCL were the losers with a loss of 1.31%, 0.51%, 0.47%, 0.41%, 0.40%, 0.40%,0.24%, 0.18% respectively.

European stocks advanced on Thursday, tracking gains on Wall Street in the previous session, with economic data and corporate earnings in focus.

Asian Market rise on Thursday with Tokyo hit by a computer glitch and several others closed for holidays.

TOP STOCKS IN NEWS:

IndusInd Bank jumped over 12% on today’s trading session as brokerages kept faith in the stock.

Shares of Bajaj Auto gained over 4% as the company sold a total of 441,306 vehicles (commercial vehicles and two-wheelers) in September 2020, a 10 percent increase year-on-year (YoY) numbers as compared to the 402,035 units sold in September 2019.

ICICI Bank’s share price up by 3% as the bank announced the launch of a festive bonanza that presents thousands of offers.
