GOLD PRICES FELL ON WEAK GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Gold futures for Dec contract was trading at Rs. 50308.00 per barrel, down by 0.52%, after opening at Rs.50230.00 Per 10gms, against a previous close of Rs. 50570.00 Per 10gms. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 50030.00 Per 10gms and high of Rs.50349.00 Per 10gms in the future market.

Gold future Traded with choppy note due to a volatile US dollar and hopes of fresh economic stimulus measures.

Copper prices on Monday rose by 2.74 per cent to Rs 511.15 per kg in futures trade on pick-up in spot demand.

Natural gas futures traded firm at Rs 186.60 per mmBtu on October 5 as participants increased their long positions as seen by the open interest.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, Commodities like Copper, Natural Gas, Aluminium, nickel, Zinc futures were the gainers, gained by 2.74%,2.19%,1.02%,0.42%,0.11% respectively. While Commodities like Crude Oil, Mentha Oil, GoldM, Gold Petal, CPO, Gold, Lead, Gold Guinea, MCX Bulldex, Cotton, Silver futures were the losers with a loss of 1.59%,1.12%,0.55%, 0.55%, 0.53%, 0.52%, 0.52%, 0.43%, 0.43%, 0.11%,0.08% respectively.
