CRUDE OIL PLUNGED ON LOW DEMAND

At the MCX, Crude Oil futures for Oct contract was trading at Rs. 2945.00 per barrel, down by 0.44% after opening at Rs.2894.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 2958.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 2923.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 2962.00 per barrel in the future market.

Crude oil futures on Wednesday fell by 0.44 per cent to Rs 2,945.00 per barrel as participants reduced their positions on low demand.

Natural gas futures declined to Rs. 196.10 per mmBtu on October 14 as participants increased their short positions.

Zinc prices on Wednesday rose by 0.05% to Rs 195.00 per kg in futures trade tracking a firm trend in physical markets on the back of pick up in spot demand.

Aluminium prices on Wednesday softened by 0.13 per cent to Rs 152.30 per kg in futures trade as speculators cut bets amid subdued demand in spot market.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, Commodities like Silver, Cotton, Nickel, MCX Bulldex, Copper, GoldM, Gold Guinea, Gold Petal, Gold , Zinc futures were the gainers, gained by 0.81%, 0.79%, 0.54%, 0.31%, 0.25%, 0.19%, 0.18%, 0.16%, 0.16%, 0.05% respectively. On other hand, Natural Gas, Crude Oil, Mentha Oil, Lead, CPO, Aluminium Futures were the losers, lose by 6.71%, 0.44%, 0.30%, 0.20%, 0.20%, 0.13% respectively.
