CRUDE OIL FUTURES ROSE AS PARTICIPANTS INCREASED THEIR POSITION

At the MCX, Crude Oil futures for Oct contract was trading at Rs. 2947.00 per barrel, up by 2.01% after opening at Rs.2894.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 2889.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 2886.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 2953.00 per barrel in the future market.

Crude oil Futures traded higher on Tuesday after supplies began to resume in Norway and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Libya resumed production at its largest oilfield.

Natural Gas Futures traded lower at Rs 206.40 per mmBtu on October 13 as participants increased their short positions.

Gold Futures traded lower on today tracking a muted trend in the international spot prices.

Silver prices dropped to Rs 62769.00 per kg on October 13 as participants increased their short positions as seen by the open interest.

On Multi Commodity Exchange, Commodities like Crude Oil, CPO, Cotton, Aluminium futures were the gainers, gained by 2.01%, 1.14%, 0.32%, 0.10% respectively. On other hand, Natural Gas, Lead, Zinc, Silver, Copper, MCX Bulldex, GoldM, Gold, Gold Guinea, Mentha Oil, Gold Petal, Nickel Futures were the losers, lose by 3.14%, 0.66%, 0.58%, 0.52%, 0.48%, 0.30%, 0.23%, 0.22%,0.16%,0.06%, 0.04% respectively.
