SENSEX ENDS AT 11,813.50 LEVELS;NIFTY UP BY 144.35 POINTS

Domestic Equity Market closed with gains on Tuesday tracking positive global cues ahead of the US presidential poll outcome.

The BSE Sensex ended 503.55 points or 1.27% higher at 40,261.13 levels.21 out of 30 stocks were in advance while 9 stocks were in decline. It touched intraday high of 40,354.73 and low of 39,952.79.

The NSE Nifty ended at 11,813.50,up by 144.35 Points or 1.24%.35 out of 50 stocks were the in advance while 15 stock were in decline. It touched intraday high of 11,836.20 and low of 11,723.30.

On Sectoral Front, Bank, Metal, Pharma, Auto, FMCG, IT Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.17%, 2.24%, 1.66%,1.51%, 0.29%, 0.02% respectively while Realty ,Energy, Media Indexes were the losers with a loss of 2.32%, 0.53%, 0.33% respectively.

On BSE, Shares of ICICI Bank, SBI,HDFC ,Powergrid, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, Titan, Bajaj Auto were the gainers with a gain of 6.51%, 4.46%, 4.32%, 4.02%, 3.39%,3.13%,2.75%,2.70% respectively while shares of NTPC, Reliance, Nestle India ,HCL Tech, Infosys, HUL, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints were the losers with a loss of 3.75%, 1.48%, 1.08%, 1.02%, 0.94%, 0.71%, 0.66%, 0.64%, 0.61% respectively.

On NSE, Shares of ICICI Bank, Hindalco, SBI, Powergrid, HDFC, Sun Pharma, Hero Moto Corp, Eicher Motors were the gainers with a gain of 6.61%, 4.95%, 4.23%, 4.02%, 3.95%, 3.85%,3.72%, 3.11% respectively while shares of UPL, NTPC, Reliance, Adani Ports, Nestle India, HCL Tech, HUL, Infosys ,Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints were the losers with a loss of 6.60%,3.76%,1.22%,1.14%,1.08%,1.06%,0.96%,0.82%,0.69% respectively.

Asian stock markets Traded higher on Tuesday as investors watched for U.S. election results, hoping a win by challenger Joe Biden in the presidential race might lead to more economic stimulus.

European stocks advanced on Tuesday ahead of the U.S. presidential election between incumbent President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Shares of ICICI Bank gained over 6% as the bank has modified its fee structure for transactions related to cash deposits made in the bank accounts through the Cash Acceptor or Recycler machines.

Powergrid rose over 3% as the company has appointed Abhay Choudhary as the director (projects). Prior to this, Choudhary was working as executive director (commercial and regulatory cell) along with charge of CMD Coordination Cell for the corporation.

Sun Pharma Jumped over 3% as the company reported a massive 70.4 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit driven by operating performance and tax credit, though forex loss limited growth.

NTPC lose over 3% after the company announced an Rs.2,275.7 crore share buyback programme.
