Asian stock markets traded lower on Tuesday as surging coronavirus infections in the United States and some other countries tempered investor optimism about development of possible vaccines.
In Asia, Set Composite jumped 2% at 1,478.92,Jakarta Composite rose 13.65 points at 5,944.41,Taiwan Weighted surged 0.73% at 14,360.40 whereas Nikkei 225,Hang Seng, Kospi Shanghai Composite traded lower ,fell by 0.30%, 0.76%, 1.62%,0.19% respectively.
European stocks were lower Tuesday as talks between the U.K. and EU continue to yield little progress, with time running out to agree on a deal.
European Futures FTSE ,down by 0.40% at 6,529.05,CAC fell by 0.57% at 5,541.59 and DAX plunged by 0.17% at 13,248.49.
U.S. futures fell as investors focused on a rise in coronavirus infections and tougher restrictions.
