GLOBAL EQUITY MARKET OF 24th DEC 2020

Asian shares were mostly higher on Thursday after stocks eked out small gains on Wall Street following a mixed set of reports on the economy.

The Set Composite surged 2.51%,theKospi rose 1.70%,SGX Nifty rose 1.02%,the Nikkei 225 gained 0.54% and the Hang Seng rose 0.16%. The Shanghai Composite lost 0.57%,the Jakarta fell 0.24%.

European stocks headed higher on Thursday, as investors’ hopes grew of a Brexit trade deal being announced within hours.

The CAC 40 is up 0.12% while the FTSE 100 is up 0.11%. The German DAX is closed.
