INDIAN EQUITY MARKET WITNESSED BIGGEST ONE DAY FALL IN TODAY’S SESSION

Domestic Equity Market erased all the gains Of Last 6 Sessions dragged by heavy selling across the board. A new strain of Covid-19 in parts of the United Kingdom dampened the investor’s sentiment. The Sensex plunged 1406.73 points or 3.00 percent to close at 45,553.96 Levels with shares of ONGC, IndusInd Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, SBI, NTPC, ITC, Axis Bank lose the most with a loss of 9.15%, 6.98%, 6.26%,6.19%,5.98%, 5.38%, 4.41% respectively. The Nifty ended 432.15 points or 3.14 percent lower at 13,328.40 levels with sectors like Media, Metal, Realty, Energy, Auto, Bank lead the lower, fell by 6.20%,5.54%, 5.25%, 4.96%,4.62%,4.10% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra plunged over 6% as the company will hike prices of its range of tractors from next month in order to partially offset the impact of rise in input costs.

Tata steel fell over 6% as the company moved the Supreme Court against the Covid pandemic cess levied by the Jharkhand government on the mineral.

SBI lose over 6% as the bank is all set to conduct an electronic auction (e-auction) for the mortgage properties on December 30.
