WEEKLY EQUITY REVIEW: METAL INDEX WAS THE TOP PERFORMER OF THE WEEK WHILE ON THE OTHERHAND REALTY INDEX WAS THE WORST PERFORMER

Last week ,Nifty fifty reported a gain of 1.79%,During this Week, Nifty fifty closed with negative notes and witnessed a loss of 0.70%. It touched an high of 11,042.60 and low of 10,746.35 in this week. The equity markets were closed on Monday on account of Ganesh Chathurthi. Market ended with negative notes on Tuesday because of worries over the deteriorating health of the Indian economy. Nifty closed with slight positive notes on Wednesday due to improved global cues and rupee's fresh rise. Nifty Fifty closed with small gains on Thursday as investors remained cautious in the absence of any fresh positive trigger for the market at home. Market ended with positive notes on Friday underpinned by hopes of a trade truce between the US and China and stimulus from major central banks of the world. Sectorial Indexes like Metal, Energy, FMCG, Auto, IT Were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.96%, 1.45%, 1.39%, 1.33%,0.15% respectively while Realty, Bank, Media,Pharma were the losers with a loss of 4.83%, 0.66%, 0.46%,0.04% respectively.
