NIFTY FIFTY EXTENDED ITS LOSSES FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE SESSION

Nifty Fifty ended 37.95 points or 0.33% lower at 11,474.45.It touched an intraday high of 11,508.25 and low of 11,3902.80.Among NSE’s Nifty fifty, 22 shares were in advance while 28 shares were in decline. Market closed with losses amid lack of fresh triggers at home and mixed global cues, while Rupee's slide against the US dollar weighed on sentiment. Sectorial Indexes like IT, Energy, FMCG Indexes were in the gainer side whereas Bank, Media, Pharma, Realty, Auto, Metal Indexes were the losers.

IT Index was the topmost gainer in today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 1.99%. Shares of HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Hexaware, Wipro, NIIT Tech were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.61%, 2.81%, 1.99%, 1.66%, 1.49%,1.39%,0.07% subsequently while shares of Just Dial, Tata Elaxi, Mind tree were the losers with a loss of 0.46%,0.39%, 0.35% respectively.

Energy Index has a gain of 0.77% with shares of Reliance, IOC, Powergrid, BPCL,NTPC, Tata Power, ONGC gained by 1.86%, 1.31%, 0.71%, 0.69%, 0.51%, 0.40%, 0.19% respectively while shares of Adani Transmission Limited, Hindustan Petroleum, Gail were the losers in this Index with a loss of 2.20%, 1.16%, 0.15% respectively.

FMCG Index has registered a gain of 0.35% which opened at 31,089.20 and closed at 31,134.50 .Stocks like ITC, Nestle India, Marico, USL were the gainers with a gain of 2.45%, 1.51%, 0.75%, 0.30% respectively whereas stocks like Britannia, Tata Global, Colgate Palmolive, HUL, Godrej Industries Limited, Jubilant Food works Limited, Godrej Products were the top losers with a loss of 2.13%, 2.11%, 2.11%,1.29%, 1.08%, 0.92%, 0.76% respectively.

Metal Index ended the trading session with negative notes with a loss of 0.57%. Shares of Sail, Jindal steel, Tata steel, Hindalco, Coal India, National Aluminium were the gainers with a gain of 0.91%, 0.73%, 0.63%, 0.31%, 0.25%, 0.11% respectively while shares of Hindustan Copper, Moil, NMDC, Ratnamani Metals, Welcorp were the top losers with a loss of 4.64%, 4.50%, 3.22%, 3.02%, 2.70% respectively.

Auto Index has a downward motion during the trading session which registered a loss of 0.81%. Shares of TVS Motors, MRF, Exide Industries Limited, Amara Raja Batteries Limited ,Bosch Ltd were the gainers the with a gain of 1.98%, 0.92%, 0.44%, 0.35%, 0.04% respectively while shares of Ashok Leyland, Mother son Sumi System, Tata Motors, Hero Moto corp., Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti were the top losers with a loss of 5.42%, 2.14%, 2.04%, 1.43%, 1.28%,1.09% respectively.

Realty Index has lose 1.13% with shares of India bulls real-estate, Sun Tech, Sobha, Godrej Properties, Mahindra Life space,DLF, Oberoi Realty lose by 10.00%, 5.43%, 3.19%, 2.27%, 2.06%, 1.89%, 0.25% respectively while shares of Brigade, Phoenix Ltd, Prestige were the gainers with a gain of 6.57%, 2.06%, 0.09% respectively.

Pharma Index has registered a loss of 1.92% which closed at 7,547.75.Shares of Biocon, Divi’s Lab were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.71%, 0.33% respectively whereas shares of PEL,Cadila healthcare, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Glenmark, Auro Pharma,Dr. Reddy, Lupin were in the loser side with a loss of 5.71%, 3.37%, 3.28%, 2.79%, 2.64%,1.52%, 1.12%, 0.24% respectively.

Media Index ended the trading session at 1,800.00, recorded a loss of 2.09%. Shares of TV Today, Music Broadcast Limited were in the positive territory with a gain of 2.56%, 1.45% respectively while shares of Dish TV, Zee Media, Zee Limited, Hathway, Balaji Tele films, Saarema limited, Sun TV were in the negative territory with a loss of 6.20%,4.10%, 3.31%, 3.00%, 2.83%, 2.37% respectively.

Bank Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 2.59%. Shares of Yes Bank, RBL Bank, IndusInd Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank were having a loss of 14.36%, 10.13%, 6.13%, 5.41%, 3.63%,3.43%, 2.78% respectively.
