NIFTY FIFTY WAS DOWN 148.00 POINTS OR 1.28 PERCENT AT 11,440.20

Nifty fifty fell 148.00 points or 1.28% to 11,440.20 level. It touched an intraday high of 11,564.95 and low of 11,416.10. On the NSE, 13 shares rose and 37 shares fell. Nifty closed on a negative note, due to the expiry of September futures & options contracts on September 26. Auto, Realty, Metal, Bank, Media, Pharma, FMCG stocks dragged the market further down, while Energy, IT stocks pulled the market somewhat upwards.

Energy Index emerged as the top gainer of this Index with a gain of 0.52%. Shares of Powergrid, NTPC, IOC, Hindustan Petroleum, BPCL, Reliance were the gainers with a gain of 3.83%, 1.56%, 1.23%, 0.69%, 0.30%, 0.15% respectively while shares of Tata Power, Reliance Infra, Gail, ONGC were the losers with a loss of 4.29%,3.27%, 1.69%, 1.39% respectively.

IT Index has gained 0.27% with shares of TCS,OFSS,HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra gained 1.92%, 0.82%, 0.72%,0.23% respectively while shares of Mind tree, Tata Elaxi, NIIT Tech, Infibeam, Wipro, Infosys were the losers with a loss of 2.69%, 2.55%, 2.13%, 1.37%, 0.62%,0.42% respectively.

FMCG Index has a downward motion during the trading session which recorded a loss of 1.23%. Shares of Tata Global, Godrej Products, HUL, USL, GSK Cons were the gainers in this Index with a gain of 1.82%, 1.05%, 0.32%, 0.18%, 0.12% respectively while shares of ITC, Marico, Dabur, PGHH, Colgate Palmolive, UBL, Godrej Industries Limited, Britannia, Jubilant Food works Limited, Emami Ltd were the losers with a loss of 4.30%,3.06%,2.08%,1.95%, 1.87%, 1.43%, 1.35%, 1.02%, 0.67%, 0.36% respectively.

Pharma Index has lose 1.30% with shares of Cipla, Biocon, Auro Pharma, Cadila healthcare, PEL, Lupin, Glenmark, Sun Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Dr. Reddy lose by 3.61%, 2.99%, 2.92%, 2.34%,1.70%,1.37%, 1.12%, 0.71%,0.47%, 0.04% respectively .

Media Index ended the trading session at 1,826.20, reported a loss of 1.96%. Shares of Hathway, DB corp, Inox Leisure, PVR, Navneet Education were the gainers with a gain of 2.92%,1.95%, 1.31%, 0.41%,0.41%,0.14% respectively while shares of Dish TV, Network18,DEN, TV18 Broadcast, DEN, TV18 Broadcast, EROS Media, Jagran, TV Today were the top losers with a loss of 9.09%, 6.11%, 4.96%, 4.53%, 2.95%, 2.88%, 2.76%,2.42%,2.38%, 1.97% respectively.

Bank Index has witnessed loss of 1.98% which closed at 29,586.05.IDFC First Bank was the only gainer in this index with a gain of 0.23% while shares of SBI, Bank of Baroda, Yes Bank, PNB, RBL Bank, Axis Bank, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank were the losers with a loss of 7.70%, 6.00%,5.00%,4.76%,4.49%, 2.53%,2.49%,1.38% respectively.

Metal Index has a loss of 2.63% with shares of National Aluminium, Sail, NMDC, Hindalco, Hindustan Zinc, Jindal Steel, Moil, Hindustan Copper lose by 6.11%, 4.80%, 4.47%, 4.25%, 4.20%, 3.87%, 3.42%,3.18% respectively JSW steel was the only gainer with a gain of 0.11%.

Realty Index has a decent loss of 3.06% in today’s trading session which closed at 260.95.Shares of DLF, Indiabulls real-estate, Oberoi realty, Sun Teck, Prestige, Sobha, Brigade, Godrej Properties were the losers with a loss of 6.85%, 5.37%, 5.22%, 3.88%, 3.18%, 2.99%,2.34%,0.18% respectively while Shares of Phoenix LTd,Mahindra Life space were the gainers with a gain of 0.60%, 0.35% respectively.

Auto Index was the topmost loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 3.90%. shares of Mother son Sumi System, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, TVS Motors, Bharat Forg, Eicher Motors, Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra were the top losers with a loss of 7.18%, 5.92%, 5.72%,4.98%, 4.61%, 4.54%, 4.41%,4.25% respectively.
