NIFTY FIFTY EXTENDED SHARP SELLING PRESSURE FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY

Nifty Fifty settled the day at 10,817.60, down 1.69%. It touched an intraday high of 11,000.10 and low of 10,796.50.About 6 shares rise while 44 shares fall. Market trade with negative notes due to a widespread selloff as depreciating rupee and geo-political tensions spooked investor's sentiment. All the sectorial Indexes were in the loser side. FMCG, IT, Energy, Pharma, Media, Bank, Metal, Realty, Auto Indexes were having losses of 0.27%, 0.75%, 1.36%, 1.70%, 2.41%, 2.60%, 2.65%, 3.73%, 3.83% respectively.

FMCG Index ended the trading session at 28,675.30,recorded a loss of 0.27%. Shares of Godrej Products, Emami Ltd, HUL, GSK Cons were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.37%, 1.01%, 0.97%, 0.89% respectively while shares of Jubilant Food works limited, UBL, USL, ITC, PGHH, Colgate Palmolive, Tata Global were in the loser side with a loss of 1.97%, 1.63%, 1.61%, 0.98%, 0.80%, 0.76%,0.58% subsequently.

IT Index has a downward momentum during the trading session which has recorded a loss of 0.75%. Shares of Infosys, Mind tree were the gainers with a gain of 0.56%, 0.34% respectively while shares of Tata Elaxi, Tech Mahindra, Infibeam, HCL Tech, TCS, Wipro, NIIT Tech, OFSS were the losers with a loss of 4.24%, 1.66%, 1.37%, 1.14%, 1.10%, 1.05%, 1.03%, 0.98% subsequently.

Energy Index has a loss of 1.36% with shares of Reliance Infra, Hindustan Petroleum, BPCL, IOC, NTPC, ONGC, Reliance, Powergrid, Tata Power lose by 4.37%, 4.05%, 3.03%, 2.61%, 1.91%, 1.22%, 1.14%,0.77%, 0.70% respectively while Gail was the only gainer in this Index with a gain of 1.85%.

Pharma Index has registered a loss of 1.70% which closed at 7,933.85.Dr. Reddy was the only gainer with a gain of 0.54% while stocks like PEL, Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Cipla, Biocon, Cadila healthcare, Lupin, Glenmark, Sun Pharma were in the loser side with a loss of 4.14%, 3.27%, 2.83%, 2.30%, 1.67%, 1.57%,1.52%, 1.42%,1.41% respectively.

Media Index was in the negative territory with a loss of 2.41%. Shares of Dish TV, Eros Media, DEN, Hathway, TV18 Broadcast, Zee Media,Inox Leisure, Jagran ,Network18 were the top losers with a loss of 8.44%, 4.99%, 4.99%, 4.84%, 4.50%,4.27%,3.55%, 3.12%, 2.33% respectively.

Bank Index has a downward motion during the trading session which recorded a loss of 2.60%. Shares of Axis Bank, Bank Of Baroda, SBI, PNB, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, RBL Bank, YES Bank were the top losers with a loss of 4.68%, 3.84%, 3.71%, 3.49%, 3.05%, 2.89%, 2.65%,2.61% respectively.

Metal Index has a loss of 2.65% with shares of Jindal stainless limited, Tata steel, Welcorp, Jindal steel, Hindustan Zinc, JSW steel, NMDC, Hindustan Copper, Vedanta Limited, Coal India lose by 6.60%, 4.93%, 4.78%, 4.51%, 4.44%,. 4.37%, 4.36%, 3.39%,1.78%, 1.57% respectively .

Realty Index ended the trading session at 255.65, recording a loss of 3.73%. Shares of Prestige, Sun Teck, Sobha, DLF, Oberoi Realty, Mahindra Life space, Phoenix Ltd,India bulls real-estate, Godrej Properties, Brigade were the losers with a loss of 7.80%, 5.52%,4.76%, 4.36%, 3.64%, 3.23%, 2.64%, 2.55%, 1.18%, 0.95% respectively.

Auto Index lose the most in Today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 3.83%. Shares of Hero Moto Corp, Tata Motors, Maruti, Bharat Forg, Ashok Leyland, Bosch Ltd, TVS Motors, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto, Exide Industries Limited, Amara Raja Batteries Limited were the top losers with a loss of 6.25%, 4.98%, 4.62%,4.18%, 4.08%, 3.99%, 3.93%, 3.34%, 3.08%, 3.07%, 3.00% respectively.
