NIFTY REMAINED VOLATILE WITH A DOWNWARD BIAS THROUGHOUT THE SESSION

Nifty Fifty closed at 11,003.50, recorded a loss of 0.65% which was earlier opened at 10,994.85.It touched an intraday high of 11,052.70 and low of 10,968.20.About 14 shares rise while 36 shares fall. Equity market ended with negative notes due to rise in global crude oil prices . Sectorial Indexes like FMCG, Pharma, Media, IT Indexes were the gainers with a gain of 0.56%, 0.47%, 0.28%, 0.13% respectively while Energy, Realty, Bank, Auto, Metal Indexes were the losers with a loss of 1.32%,0.95%,0.87%, 0.81%, 0.15% respectively.

FMCG Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 0.56%. Shares of Colgate Palmolive, Emami Ltd, Godrej Products, Jubilant Foodworks Limited, Britannia, Dabur, HUL, GSK Cons were the gainers with a gain of 4.73%, 3.51%, 2.48%, 2.24%,1.80%, 0.62%, 0.47%, 0.25% respectively while shares of USL, Godrej Industries Limited, Tata Global, Marico, UBL, ITC,PGHH were the losers in this Index with a loss of 1.14%, 1.01%, 0.66%, 0.64%, 0.44%, 0.35%, 0.02% respectively.

Pharma Index gained 0.47% with shares of Auro Pharma, Glenmark, Divi’s Lab, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Cipla, Cadila healthcare, PEL gained by 1.41%, 1.25%, 1.15%, 0.74%, 0.50%, 0.21% ,0.13% respectively while shares of Biocon, Dr. Reddy, Cadila healthcare were the losers in this Index with a loss of 0.90%,0.42%,0.08% respectively.

Media Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.28%. Shares of TV 18 Broadcast, Eros Media, Inox Leisure, Zee Media ,Navneet Education Limited,Network18,Dish TV, TV Today,PVR were in the gainer side with a gain of 7.37%, 4.96%, 4.70%, 4.00%, 2.54%, 1.78%, 1.72%, 1.38%,0.50% respectively while shares of Hathway, DEN, Zee Limited, Sun TV, DB Corp, Jagran were in the loser side with a loss of 5.00%,4.47%, 1.68%, 1.14%, 0.25%, 0.14% respectively.

IT Index started the trading session at 15,774.45 and ended the trading session at 15,743.15, recorded a gain of 0.13%. Shares of Tata Elaxi, Tech Mahindra, Mind tree, Wipro, TCS were the gainers with a gain of 1.95%, 1.35%, 0.68%, 0.61%, 0.38% respectively while shares of NIIT Tech, Infibeam, OFSS, Infosys, HCL Tech were the losers with a loss of 2.07%,1.96%, 1.42%,0.28%, 0.20% respectively.

Metal Index closed at 2,440.55 ,recorded a loss of 0.15%. Shares of Welcorp, National Aluminium, Coal India, Hindustan Zinc, Hindalco were the gainers with a gain of 2.37%, 1.45%, 1.16%,0.60%, 0.40% respectively while shares of Hindustan Copper, Tata Steel, Sail, Jindal stainless limited, Jindal steel, Moil, NMDC, JSW steel, APLApollo,Vedanta Limited were the losers with a loss of 4.96%, 1.73%, 1.335, 0.88% ,0.78%, 0.73%, 0.46%, 0.31%, 0.19%, 0.13% respectively.

Auto Index has a downward motion during the trading session which registered a loss of 0.81%. Shares of Bosch Ltd, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, Eicher Motors were the gainers the with a gain of 1.04%, 0.31%, 0.01% respectively while shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, MRF, Hero Moto Corp, TVS Motors, Exide Industries Limited were the top losers with a loss of 2.68%, 1.65%, 1.20%, 1.17%, 1.04%, 0.85% respectively.

Bank Index has lose 0.87% with shares of RBL Bank, SBI, Yes Bank, Federal Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda lose by 2.84%, 2.54%, 2.12%, 2.12%, 1.58%,1.40% respectively while IDFC First Bank was the gainer with a gain of 0.71%.

Realty Index has registered a loss of 0.95% which closed at 265.55.Shares of Phoenix Ltd, India bulls real-estate, Mahindra Life space were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.86%, 1.17%,0.53% respectively whereas shares Prestige, DLF, Oberoi Realty, Sun Teck, Brigade, Sobha, Godrej Properties were in the loser side with a loss of 3.13%, 2.83%, 2.33%, 1.59%, 1.26%, 0.83%, 0.70% respectively.

Energy Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 1.32%. Shares of ONGC, Gail, Tata Power were the gainers with a gain of 1.28%, 0.19%, 0.08% respectively. Shares of BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum, IOC, Reliance, NTPC, Reliance Infra, Powergrid were having a loss of 7.31%, 5.85%, 1.50%, 1.22%, 0.97%, 0.87% 0.32% respectively.
