DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 6th SEP 2019

The rupee opened 1 paise higher at 71.85 against the US dollar on Friday. USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.60 and high of 71.88. The rupee closed 13 paise higher at 71.73 against the dollar as gains in domestic equity market and resumption of US-China trade talks in October strengthened investor sentiments. Meanwhile, Sensex was up 337.35 points or 0.92 % at 36981.77 and Nifty was up 98.30 points or 0.91% at 10946.20.

The Rupee was trading at 79.05 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 79.29, which was previously close at 79.39. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.25 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.86, 17.18, 19.12 and 19.53 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 106.94. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.10. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.02. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.23. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.64, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
