DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 25th SEP 2019

The rupee opened 5 paise lower at 71.07 against the US dollar. At Close, the rupee settled at 71.04 against dollar, down 0.02% or 2 paise from Tuesday’s close of 71.02 as foreign fund outflows and subdued equities weakened forex market sentiment. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.98 and high of 71.14. However, easing crude oil prices and weaker greenback against rival currencies restricted the rupee fall to some extent. Meanwhile, Sensex lose 503.62 points or 1.29% to settle at 38593.52 while Nifty slipped 148.00 points or 1.28% to settle at 11440.20 levels.

The Rupee was trading at 78.09 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.12, which was previously close at 78.08. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.09 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.73, 16.95, 18.94 and 19.34 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.47. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.09. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.09. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
