DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 23rd SEP 2019

The rupee on Monday opened 8 paise down at 71.03 against the US dollar on account of some buying in the American currency by banks and importers. The Indian rupee has recovered from the low and ended marginally higher at 70.94 per dollar. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.86 and high of 71.04. Meanwhile, The Sensex rose 1075.41 points or 2.83% to close at 39090.03 while Nifty surged 2.89% or 326.00 points to 11600.20.

The Rupee was trading at 77.89 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.21, which was previously close at 78.31. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.28 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.76, 16.96, 18.91 and 19.31 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.47. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.09. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.20. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
