DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 17th SEP 2019

The rupee on Tuesday opened 20 paise down at 71.81 against the US dollar on account of buying in American currency by banks and importers.USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.72 and high of 71.97. The rupee settled lower by 16 paise at 71.77 against dollar. Nifty lost 185.90 points or 1.69% to settle at 10817.60 and Sensex slipped 642.22 points or 1.73% to settle at 36481.09 levels.

The Rupee was trading at 79.13 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.83, which was previously close at 79.02. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 89.08 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.85, 17.12, 19.13 and 19.53 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.14. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.10. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 119.30. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
