DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 12th SEP 2019

The rupee opened on positive note and higher 26 paise to 71.42 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.09 and high of 71.46. The Indian rupee (INR) jumped sharply today against the US dollar, tracking gains in other Asian currencies. Continuing its recent rebound against the US dollar (USD), the rupee today settled at 71.13 a dollar, as compared to its earlier close of 71.68. Meanwhile, , Sensex lost 166.54 points or 0.45% to settle at 37104.28 and Nifty slipped 52.90 points or 0.48% to settle at 10982.80 levels.

The Rupee was trading at 78.42 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.92, which was previously close at 78.89. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.63 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.86, 17.05, 18.94 and 19.34 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.62. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.09. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 117.99. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.23. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.69, 0.64, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
