CRUDE OIL PRICES RISE ON GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Sep 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 4078.00 per barrel, up by 0.59 %, after opening at Rs. 4072.00per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 4054.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 4057.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 4119.00 per barrel.

Oil prices rose on Monday after the new Saudi Arabian energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, confirmed expectations that there would be no radical change in his country's oil policy.

Prices of gold on Monday declined at the bullion market, in absence of demand and a stronger rupee, Silver was also on weak ground.

MCXCOMDEX opened at 3974.62 and traded up by 0.21% at 3983.46. Commodities like Mentha oil, Natural Gas, Crude oil, Aluminium, Gold were stood as top gainers, gained 2.81%, 1.34%, 0.59%, 0.25%,0.01% respectively. On the other hand, Cardamom, Copper, Cotton, Nickel, CPO futures were stood as top losers, lose by 0.36%, 0.34%, 0.31%, 0.26%, 0.25%, respectively. Silver, Zinc and Lead Futures were traded on flat note in evening trading session.

Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty advanced, mainly on gains in financial counters amid firm global cues. At close, Sensex was up 163.68 points or 0.44 % at 37145.45 and Nifty was up 56.85 points or 0.52% at 11003.05.
