GOLD, SILVER TRADE LOWER AS TRADE WAR TENSIONS EASE

At the MCX, Gold futures for Oct 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 37463.00 per 10 gms, down by 0.67 %, after opening at Rs. 37550.00 per 10 gms , against a previous close of Rs 37750.00 per 10 gms. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 37332.00 per 10 gms and high of Rs. 37640.00 per 10 gms.

Gold prices continued their decline in global markets after a sharp fall in the previous week . Gold and Silver Prices were trading lower in the domestic market early on Monday amid ease in US-China trade war tensions.

MCXCOMDEX opened with negative note at 3897.45 and traded down by 0.40% at 3883.22. Commodities like Nickel, Copper, Zinc, Lead, CPO were stood as top gainers, gained by 1.03%, 0.24%, 0.22%, 0.19%, 0.05% respectively. On the other hand, Cardamom, Silver, Natural Gas, Cotton, Gold, Aluminium, Crude oil, Mentha oil futures were stood as top losers, lose by 4.00%, 1.60%, 1.23%, 0.80%, 0.67%0.33%, 0.28%, 0.24% respectively.

The Sensex closed 155.24 points or 0.40% lower at close at 38667.33 while Nifty shed 0.33% or 37.95 points to close at 11474.45 on Monday led by a plunge in financial heavyweights.
