GOLD AND SILVER PRICES TRADED LOWER ON WEAK GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Gold futures for Oct 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 37463.00 per 10 gms, down by 0.88 %, after opening at Rs. 37753.00 per 10 gms , against a previous close of Rs. 37794.00 per 10 gms. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 37399.00 per 10 gms and high of Rs. 37836.00 per 10 gms.

Gold prices struggled in Indian markets today amid choppy global trends. Similarly, Silver futures prices were down today. The fall in Bullion prices at futures trade was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals in global markets.

Crude oil Future traded with positive note in morning trading session but turned into negative note in evening trading session. Good demand supported the crude oil Prices in morning session.

MCXCOMDEX opened with positive note at 3919.77 and traded down by 0.69% at 3890.84. Commodities like Cardamom, CPO were stood as top gainers, gained by 4.00%, 0.07% respectively. On the other hand, Natural Gas, Gold, Aluminium,Crude oil, Mentha oil, Lead, Zinc, Copper. Cotton, Nickel futures were stood as top losers, lose by 0.98%, 0.88%, 0.81%, 0.63%, 0.61%, 0.26%, 0.22%, 0.11%, 0.10%, 0.01% respectively.

Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty edged lower on Friday, mirroring weakness in Asian peers on increasing political uncertainty in the US. Financials contributed the most to the losses. The Sensex closed 167.17 points or 0.43% lower at close at 38822.57 while Nifty shed 0.51% or 58.80 points to close at 11512.40.
