GOLD PRICES DROP BY 0.42 PC ON TODAY; SILVER RATES TUMBLE

At the MCX, Gold futures for Oct 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 38091.00 per 10 gms, down by 0.42 %, after opening at Rs. 38207.00 per 10 gms , against a previous close of Rs. 38253.00 per 10 gms. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 38031.00 per 10 gms and high of Rs. 38259.00 per 10 gms.

Gold and silver prices continue to slide in India from their last week's highs. Improved risk sentiment has pushed down global gold prices, hurting domestic prices. Silver prices have also fallen sharply.

Under Agri index, Mentha oil stood as the top loser while cardamom was the top gainer in evening trading session.

MCXCOMDEX opened with positive note at 4011.27 but traded 0.26% lower at 3999.70 in evening session. Commodities like Cardamom, Nickel, Zinc, Lead were stood as top gainers, gained by 3.94%, 0.65%, 0.48%, 0.16% respectively. On the other hand, Mentha oil, Gold, Aluminium, Silver, Copper, CPO, Cotton, Crude oil futures were stood as top losers, lose by 0.88%, 0.42%, 0.28%, 0.20%, 0.18%, 0.16%, 0.05%, 0.02% respectively.

Equity Market ended Wednesday's range-bound session higher, lifted by public sector banks and metal stocks, thus extending their gains to three straight days. At close, Sensex was up 125.37 points or 0.34 % at 37270.82 and Nifty was up 32.65 points or 0.30% at 11035.70.
