NIFTY FIFTY EXTENDED ITS GAIN FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE SESSION

Nifty fifty has registered a gain of 1.07% to close at 11,075.90 which was earlier opened at 11,466.30.It touched high of 11,599.10 and low of 11,439.65.About 35 shares rise and 15 shares fall. Market sentiment was lifted by news of the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom agreeing on a Brexit deal, and back home Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's assurance to international investors that government was working to bring reforms. Among sectoral Indices, Auto, Media, Bank, FMCG, Metal, Energy, Pharma, Realty were the gainers with a gain of 3.13%, 1.62%, 1.58%, 1.40%, 0.95%, 0.90%, 0.78%, 0.59% respectively while IT Index was the loser with a loss of 0.41%.

Auto Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 3.13%. Stocks like Tata Motors, Son Sumi System, TVS Motors, Eicher Motors, Bharat Forg,MRF, Bajaj Auto, Ashok Leyland, Apollo tyre, Maruti, Hero Moto Corp, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra were the gainers with a gain of 13.27%, 12.27%, 8.43%, 7.96%, 4.60%, 4.08%, 3.78%, 3.28%, 2.34%, 2.16%, 1.10%, 0.84%, 0.81% respectively while Exide Industries Limited, Bosch Ltd were the losers with a loss of 2.38%, 0.86% respectively.

Media Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 1.62%. Shares of Zee Media, Sun TV, Inox Leisure, TV Today, Hathway, Dish TV, DB Corp, Zee Limited, Jagran, Saregama Limited, PVR, Network18 were in the gainer side with a gain of 4.85%, 4.01%, 3.09%, 2.70%, 2.65%, 2.06%, 1.80%, 1.17%, 0.95%, 0.77%, 0.75%, 0.51% respectively while shares of Music Broadcsat,TV18 Broadcast, Balaji Telefilms were the losers with a loss of 7.62%, 5.14%, 0.58% respectively.

Bank Index was trading in the positive territory with a gain of 1.58% led by the stocks like YES Bank, RBL Bank, IndusInd Bank, SBI, PNB, Axis Bank, Federal Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank up by 15.47%, 11.63%, 5.14%, 3.61%, 2.88%, 2.44%, 2.25%,2.04%, 1.83%, 1.25%, 0.03% respectively while Kotak Bank was the only loser in this Index with a loss of 0.22%.

FMCG Index started the trading session at 30,928.50 and ended the trading session at 31,331.90,recorded a gain of 1.40%. Shares of Emami Ltd, Jubilant Food works Limited, Marico, UBL, Britannia, HUL,USL, Dabur,Godrej Industries Limited were the top gainers with a gain of 7.22%, 3.08%,2.48%, 2.16%, 1.83%, 1.71%, 1.59%, 1.52%,1.24% respectively.

Metal Index has gained 0.95% with shares of Tata Steel, Jindal steel, Sail, Coal India, JSW steel, Ratnamani, APL Apollo, Moil, Hindustan Zinc, Hindalco gained by 3.60%, 3.17%, 2.29%,2.21%, 1.57%, 0.73%, 0.61%, 0.60%, 0.45%, 0.35% respectively whereas shares of National aluminium, Welcorp, Hindustan copper, Vedanta Limited, NMDC were the loser ,lose by 2.88%, 1.84%, 1.53%, 0.97%, 0.83% respectively.

Energy Index closed at 15,976.60, recorded a gain of 0.90%. Shares of Tata Power, Reliance, Gail, NTPC, IOC were having positive notes with having a gain of 3.27%, 1.65%, 1.26%, 0.85%, 0.58% respectively while Adani Transportation, Powergrid, ONGC, BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum were the losers with a loss of 1.04%, 0.58%, 0.49%, 0.18%, 0.03% respectively.

Pharma Index has a positive note which recorded a gain of 0.78%. Shares of PEL, Cadila healthcare, Dr. Reddy, Glenmark, Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Sunpharma were the gainers with a gain of 6.45%, 1.07%, 0.91%, 0.89%, 0.44%, 0.13%, 0.08% respectively while shares of Biocon, Lupin, Cipla were the losers with a loss of 1.02%, 0.80%, 0.29% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 0.59% with shares of India bulls real-estate, DLF, Oberoi Realty, Phoenix Ltd, Brigade, Godrej Properties gained by 4.97%, 2.63%, 1.72%, 0.69%, 0.39%, 0.18% respectively while shares of Sun Teck, Prestige, Mahindra Lifespace,sobha were the losers with a loss of 5.75%, 2.59%, 1.80%, 0.51% respectively.

IT Index stood as the only loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.41%. Shares of Tata Elaxi, Just dial, TCS, NIIT Tech were the gainers with a gain of 6.43%, 4.14%,1.38%, 0.11% respectively while shares of Mind tree, HCL Tech,Hexaware, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro were the losers with a loss of 2.20%, 1.06%, 0.56%, 0.40%, 0.27%, 0.24% respectively.
