DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 9th OCT 2019

The rupee opened Rs. 14 paise lower at 71.18 against US dollar on Wednesday from previous close at 71.04 on Monday. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.94and high of 71.22. Currency market closed on Tuesday on account of Dussehra. Rupee closed 2 paise lower at 71.06 against the US dollar on account of buying in American dollars by banks and imports amid unabated foreign fund outflows. Meanwhile, The Sensex gained 645.97 points or 1.72% to settle at 38177.95 while Nifty rose 186.90 points or 1.68% to settle at 11313.30 levels.

The Rupee was trading at 78.00 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.87, which was previously close at 77.97. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 86.85 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.69, 16.93, 18.95 and 19.35 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.38. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.09. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 117.91. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.22. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.67, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
