DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 4th OCT 2019

The rupee opened 14 paise lower at 71.22 against US dollar on Thursday from previous close at 71.08 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Indian financial markets were shut on account of Gandhi Jayanti. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.85 and high of 71.34.Rupee closed 21 paise higher at 70.87 against the US dollar, helped by weakening of the greenback overseas and easing crude oil prices. Meanwhile, S&P BSE index closed at 38,106.87, down 198.54 points or 0.52 per cent while Nifty index shed 45.90 points or 0.40 per cent to end at 11,314.00.

The Rupee was trading at 77.74 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.98, which was previously close at 77.53. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 87.33 and 0.66 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.68, 16.93, 18.94 and 19.34 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 107.06. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.09. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 117.28. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.24. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.67, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
