DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 1st OCT 2019

The rupee opened Rs. 1.10 paise lower at 71.98 against US dollar on Tuesday from previous close at 70.88. USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.08 and high of 72.12. Rupee closed 20 paise lower at 71.08 against the US dollar on account of some buying in the American currency. Meanwhile, The Sensex closed 361.92 points or 0.94% lower at close at 38305.41 while Nifty shed 1.00% or 114.55 points to close at 11359.90.

The Rupee was trading at 77.53 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.08, which was previously close at 77.30. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 87.42 and 0.65 respectively. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.65, 16.96, 18.98 and 19.37 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.29. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.08. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 118.07. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.22. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.67, 0.62, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
