DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 17th OCT 2019

On Thursday, The Rupee opened 6 paise higher at 71.38 against dollar following gains in domestic equity markets and softening crude oil prices. USD/INR touched intraday low of 71.14 and high of 71.47.The rupee closed 27 paise higher at 71.17 against US dollar. Dollar remained under pressure against its major crosses especially after trade talks between US and China that concluded last week ended on a positive note. Meanwhile, The BSE Sensex surged 453.07 points, or 1.17 percent, to settle at 39052.06. The Nifty50 rose 122.35 points, or 1.07 percent, at 11586.35.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading at 79.15 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 79.13 which was previously close at 78.80. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 91.57 and 0.65 respectively. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.79, 17.03, 18.98 and 19.38 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.71. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 120.80. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.28. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
