DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 14th OCT 2019

The Rupee opened higher by 14 paise at 70.88 per dollar versus Friday's close 71.02 as gains in domestic equity market and positive developments on the US-China trade talks front strengthened investor sentiments. USD/INR touched intraday low of 70.75 and high of 71.24. The Indian rupee erased all its morning gains and ended near at day's low at 71.23 per dollar, as domestic equity markets erased most of its gains in the final hour of trading. The BSE Sensex surged 87.39 points, or 0.23 percent, to settle at 38214.47. The Nifty50 rose 36.10 points, or 0.32 percent, at 11341.15.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading at 78.53 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 78.22 which was previously close at 78.52. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 89.40 and 0.65 respectively. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.81, 16.99, 18.98 and 19.38 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 108.25. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.10. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 119.37. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.26. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.63, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
