NIFTY FIFTY STAYED POSITIVE DURING THE TRADING SESSION AND ENDED THE DAY WITH A STRONG NOTE

Nifty Fifty ended with positive notes at 11,945.90, recorded a gain of 0.71% which was earlier opened at 11,865.30. Nifty rose 0.71% ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Modi government along with expiry of May F & O. Sectorial Indexes like Energy, IT, Bank, Media Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.21%, 0.83%, 0.77% ,0.05% respectively whereas FMCG, Pharma, Realty, Metal, Auto Indexes were in the losers side with a loss of 0.04%, 0.12%, 0.12%, 0.44%, 0.56% respectively.

Energy Index was the top gainer of Today’s Trading session which has recorded a gain of 1.21%. Shares of NTPC, Tata Power, BPCL, Gail, Hindustan Petroleum, Reliance, IOC, Powergrid were the gainers with a gain of 3.23%, 2.99%, 2.10%, 1.63%, 1.40%,1.29%, 0.53%, 0.45% respectively while shares of Reliance Infra, ONGC were the losers with loss of 5.75%, 1.34% respectively.

IT Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.83%. Shares of Infibeam, NIIT Tech, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, OFSS, Mind tree were in the positive territory with a gain of 6.43%, 2.33%, 1.84%, 0.82%, 0.66%, 0.12%, 0.02% respectively while shares of Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Elaxi were the losers with a loss of 0.69%, 0.37%, 0.32% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 31,537.10, recorded a gain of 0.77%. Stocks like Yes Bank¸SBI, Kotak Bank, RBL Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, Axis Bank, PNB were the gainers with a gain of 2.34%, 1.53%, 1.17%, 1.16%, 1.10%, 0.96%, 0.6%, 0.50%,0.18% respectively while IndusInd Bank, Bank of Baroda, IDFC first Bank were the losers with a loss of 1.10%, 0.62%,0.22% respectively.

Media Index has gained by 0.05% with shares of PVR, Jagran, TV Today, Network18, Navneet Education Limited, Sun TV, DB Corp gained by 1.27%, 1.25%, 0.78%, 0.59%, 0.25% respectively while shares of Eros Media, Dish TV, Zee Limited, Hathway, Zee Media, DEN, Inox Leisure, TV18 Broadcast were the losers, lose by 2.52%, 2.20%, 2.13%, 1.77%, 1.67%,1.27%, 0.85%, 0.85% respectively.

FMCG Index was in the negative territory which closed at 30,002.40. Shares of PGHH, Tata Global, Emami Ltd, USL, GSK Cons, Godrej Industries Limited, Colgate Palmolive, ITC, HUL, Marico were the gainers with a gain of 1.21%, 1.13%, 0.95%, 0.74%, 0.40%, 0.38%, 0.29%, 0.28%, 0.19%, 0.16% respectively while shares of Godrej Products, Dabur, Britannia, UBL, Jubilant Food works Limited were the losers with a loss of 0.97%, 0.71%, 0.61%, 0.43%, 0.23% respectively .

Pharma Index has lose 0.12% in today’s trading session. Shares of PEL, Lupin, Dr. Reddy, Glenmark, Biocon were the gainers, gained by 2.26%, 1.70%, 1.51%, 1.23%, 0.42% respectively whereas shares of Sun Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Cipla, Auro Pharma,Divi’s Lab were the losers, lose by 2.57%, 2.56%, 0.42%, 0.33%, 0.32% respectively .

Realty Index has an downward motion during the trading session which recorded a loss of 0.12%. Shares of Phoenix Ltd, Brigade, Oberoi Realty, DLF, Mahindra Life space were in the positive zone with a gain of 2.61%, 1.30%, 1.03%,0.88%,0.19% respectively while shares of Prestige, Godrej Properties, India bulls real-estate, Sobha, Sun Teck were the losers with a loss of 5.72%, 1.47%, 1.11%, 1.09%, 0.85% respectively.

Metal Index closed at 2,924.50,recorded a loss of 0.44%. Shares Jindal stainless limited, Coal India¸ National Aluminium, Jindal steel, Moil, Hindustan Zinc, NMDC were the gainers with a gain of 2.35%, 1.02%, 0.80%, 0.61%, 0.35%, 0.24%, 0.05% respectively whereas Shares of Welcorp, Sail,APL Apollo, JSW Steel, Tata steel, Vedanta Limited were the top losers with a loss of 3.11%, 1.66%, 1.34%, 1.18%, 1.07, 1.06% respectively.

Auto Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.56%. Stocks like Apollo Tyre, Amara Raja Batteries Limited, Exide Industries Limited, Bosch Ltd, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, Hero Moto Corp were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.49%, 1.45%, 1.29%, 0.95%, 0.56%, 0.53%, 0.33% respectively while Stocks like Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mother son sumi System, TVS Motors, MRF, Maruti, Tata Motors, Bharat Forg were in the loser side with a loss of 2.22%, 2.03%, 1.63%, 1.41%, 1.10%,0.64%, 0.54%, 0.42% respectively.
