NIFTY FIFTY MANAGED TO CLOSE HIGHER ON MAY 22 AHEAD OF ELECTION RESULTS.

Nifty Fifty closed at 11,727.95, recorded a gain of 0.25%. Nifty Fifty closed with small gains driven by gains in banking and auto stocks ahead of the general election results. Sectorial Indexes like Bank, Energy, Auto, Realty, Metal, Pharma Indexes were in the gainer side with a gain of 0.72%, 0.53%, 0.45%, 0.38%, 0.36%, 0.27% respectively while sectorial Indexes like Media, IT, FMCG Indexes were in the loser side with a loss of 0.52%, 0.64%, 0.95% respectively.

Bank Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 0.72%. Shares of IndusInd Bank, SBI,ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, Kotak Bank, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank were the gainers with a gain of 5.54%, 1.47%, 1.31%, 0.76%, 0.65%,0.52%, 0.26%, 0.15% respectively while shares of IDFC First Bank, YES, PNB, RBL Bank were the losers with a loss of 1.84%, 1.49%, 1.39%, 0.51% respectively.

Energy Index has an upward motion during the trading session which recorded a gain of 0.53%. Stocks like Reliance Infra, BPCL, IOC, ONGC, Hindustan Petroleum, NTPC, Tata Power, Reliance were in the gainer side with a gain of 2.45%, 2.35%, 1.43%, 1.29%, 1.25%, 1.09%, 0.93%, 0.31% respectively while Stocks like Power grid, Gail were in the loser side with a loss of 0.79%, 0.52% respectively.

Auto Index was in the positive territory which recorded a gain of 0.45%. Shares of Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, Hero Moto corp., Tata Motors, MRF, Ashok Leyland, Apollo tyre, Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra were the gainers with a gain of 2.51%, 1.83%, 1.80%, 1.53%, 0.60%, 0.51%, 0.49%, 0.36%, 0.28% respectively while Shares of Bosch Ltd, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Mother Son Sumi System, TVS Motors, Bharat Forg, Exide Industries Limited were the losers with a loss of 3.42%, 1.73%, 1.08%, 1.00%, 0.63%, 0.19% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 0.38% with shares of Sun Teck, DLF, Phoenix Ltd gained by 6.45%, 1.43%, 0.58% respectively while shares of Brigade, Prestige, Godrej Properties, India bulls real-estate, Oberoi Realty, Sobha, Mahindra Life space were the losers, lose by 3.32%,1.28%, 1.17%, 0.72%, 0.50%, 0.46%, 0.05% respectively.

Metal Index recorded a gain of 0.36% in today’s trading session. Shares of Moil, APL Apollo, NMDC, Coal India, National Aluminium, Welcorp, Hindalco, Sail, Vedanta Limited, Jindal stainless Limited, Tata Steel were having positive notes with a gain of 3.85%, 2.87%, 1.83%, 1.60%, 1.52%, 1.23%, 0.99%, 0.89%, 0.63%, 0.13%, 0.08% respectively while shares of Jindal Steel, Hindustan Zinc, JSW Steel, Hindustan Copper were having negative notes with a loss of 7.04%, 1.67%, 0.97%, 0.12% respectively.

Pharma Index has witnessed a gain of 0.27%. Shares of Sun Pharma, Cadila healthcare, Lupin, Dr. Reddy, Glenmark were in the gainer side with a gain of 3.46%, 2.23%, 1.69%, 0.11%, 0.06% respectively while shares of PEL, Cipla, Auro Pharma, Biocon, Divi’s Lab were in the loser side with a loss of 1.99%, 0.97%, 0.32%, 0.26%, 0.09% respectively.

Media Index closed at 2,163.60, recorded a loss of 0.52%. Shares Eros Media, TV18 Broadcast,Sun TV, Network18,Jagran, DB Corp, Navneet Education Limited,Dish TV were in the gainer side with a gain of 8.99%, 2.62%, 1.97%, 1.66%, 1.18%, 0.97%, 0.19%, 0.17% respectively while shares of TV Today, PVR, DEN, Zee Limited, Hathway, Inox Leisure were the losers with a loss of 2.97%, 2.93%, 2.17%, 1.35%, 1.29%,0.35% respectively.

IT Index has lose 0.64% with shares of Tech Mahindra, Wipro, NIIT Tech, TCS lose by 2.98%, 1.22%,1.08%, 0.94% respectively while shares of Infibeam, Tata Elaxi, HCL Tech, OFSS, Mind tree, Infosys were the gainers ,gained by 1.88%, 1.31%, 0.67%, 0.50%, 0.13%, 0.09% respectively.

FMCG Index was the top loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.95%. Stocks like Godrej Industries Limited, Marico, Dabur, Tata Global, UBL, Britannia, Godrej Products were in the gainer side with a gain of 1.70%,0.73%, 0.71%, 0.39%, 0.26%, 0.22%,0.14% respectively while shares of USL, Jubilant food works Limited, PGHH, GSK cons, Emami Ltd, HUL were in the loser side with a loss of 1.77%, 1.15%, 1.08%, 0.96%, 0.79%, 0.64%, 0.35%, 0.03% respectively.
