NIFTY FIFTY ENDED AT RECORD HIGH ON EXIT POLLS DECISSION

Nifty fifty ended the day at 11,828.25 up 421.10 points, or 3.69%. Market ended with highly positive note because of the exit polls which clearly indicated Modi-led NDA to make a thumping return to power on May 23.All the sectorial Indexes were in the gainer side . Realty, Energy, Bank, Auto, Metal, FMCG, Media, IT, Pharma Indexes were having a gain of 5.72%, 4.52%, 4.45%, 4.16%, 3.27%, 1.95%, 1.66%, 0.79%, 0.67% respectively.

Realty Index recorded a gain of 5.72%. Shares of India bulls Real-estate, Sobha, Oberoi Realty, Sun Teck, Brigade, DLF, Mahindra Lifespace, Prestige, Godrej Properties were the gainers with a gain of 14.62%, 7.25%, 7.12%, 6.34%, 5.84%, 5.56%, 5.00%, 3.03%,2.17% respectively while Phoenix Ltd was the only loser with a loss of 0.34%.

Energy Index has a upward momentum during the trading session which registered a gain of 4.52%. Shares of Reliance Infra, Tata Power, Hindustan Petroleum, IOC, ONGC, Reliance, BPCL, Gail, Powergrid, NTPC were the gainers with a gain of 14.63%, 7.17%, 6.30%, 5.31%, 5.23%, 4.82%, 4.20%, 3.50%, 3.32%,3.07% respectively .

Bank Index has gained 4.45% with shares of Bank of Baroda, IndusInd Bank, SBI, YES Bank, PNB, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, RBL Bank, IDFC First Bank, Kotak Bank, HDFC Bank were in the gainer side with a gain of 9.76%, 8.77%, 8.32%, 7.12%, 6.83%, 4.87%, 4.76%, 4.48%, 3.70%, 3.35%, 2.92%,2.79% respectively .

Auto Index registered a gain of 4.16% in today’s trading session. Stocks like Mother son Sumi system, Bharat forg, Tata Motors, TVS Motors, Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero Motocorp, Ashok Leyland ,Exide Industries Limited, Apollo tyre, Amara raja Batteries Limited, Bosch Ltd, Eicher Motors, MRF were in the gainer side with a gain of 8.24%, 8.10%, 7.15%,6.01%, 5.70%, 5.59%, 4.10%, 3.79%, 3.67%, 2.90%, 1.94%, 1.56%,1.45%, 0.77% respectively while Bajaj Auto was the only loser with a loss of 0.82%.

Metal Index has witnessed a gain of 3.27% with shares of APL Apollo, Sail, Welcorp, National aluminium, NMDC, Jindal Steel, Jindal stainless limited, Hindalco, Vedanta Limited, Hindustan Copper gained by 10.00%, 8.08%, 6.42%, 6.24%, 6.08%, 5.14%, 4.24%,4.17%,3.76%, 3.49% respectively .

FMCG Index ended the session at 30,547.65,up by 1.95%. Shares of Godrej Industries Limited, USL, PGHH, Dabur, Jubilant Food works Limited, Colgate Palmolive, HUL, GSK Cons, ITC, UBL, Godrej Products, Britannia, Marico were the gainers with a gain of 7.32%, 4.30%, 4.27%, 3.78%, 2.70%, 2.21%, 2.08%, 1.87%, 1.84%, 1.47%, 0.93%, 0.75%, 0.71% respectively while shares of Tata Global,Emami Ltd were the losers in this Index with a loss of 0.53%, 0.27% respectively.

Media Index has an upward motion during the trading session with a gain of 1.66%. Shares of DEN, TV18 Broadcast, Eros Media, Sun TV, DB corp, Hathway, Network18,Inox Leisure, Zee Media were the gainers with a gain of 7.17%, 6.62%, 6.41%, 5.64%, 5.29%, 5.10%, 4.93%, 4.53%,4.23% respectively whereas shares of Zee limited, TV Today were the losers with a loss of 3.00%, 0.42% respectively.

IT Index was in the positive territory which registered a gain of 0.79%. Shares of Infibeam, TCS, Wipro, HCL Tech, NIIT Tech were the gainers with a gain of 7.39%, 2.51%, 1.57%, 1.16%, 0.74% respectively while shares of Tech Mahindra, Infosys, OFSS, Tata Elaxi, Mind tree were the losers in this Index with a loss of 0.76%, 0.36%, 0.29%, 0.23%, 0.17% respectively.

Pharma Index gained 0.67% with shares of PEL, Cipla, Divi’s Lab, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Biocon, Cadila healthcare gained by 7.37%, 4.00%, 1.38%, 1.25%, 0.51%, 0.24%, 0.14% respectively while shares of Dr. Reddy, Auro Pharma, Glenmark were the losers ,lose by 5.50%, 0.96%, 0.72% respectively.
