NIFTY EXTENDED ITS GAINS IN THE LAST HOURS OF TRADING AND ENDED WITH 100.10 POINTS UP AT 11,257.10

Nifty fifty closed at 11,257.10, witnessed a gain of 0.90% which was earlier opened at 11,180.35. Market stayed positive due to stable cues and recovered most of the losses seen in the week. Sectorial Indexes like Media, Energy, Metal, Realty, IT, Bank, Auto, FMCG Indexes were the gainers with a gain of 2.26%, 1.68%, 1.17%, 1.10%, 1.00%, 0.83%, 0.45%,0.15% respectively while Pharma Index was the only loser with a loss of 0.21%.

Media Index was the top gainer of today’s trading session which recorded a gain of 2.26%. Shares of Zee Limited, Dish TV,Network18,Inox Leisure, PVR, Sun TV, TV Today were the gainers with a gain of 9.11%, 4.67%, 3.54%, 3.07%, 1.98%, 1.16%, 0.90% respectively while shares of DEN, Hathway, Eros Media, Jagran, DB Corp, TV18 Broadcast, Zee Media, Navneet Education Limited were the losers in this Index with a loss of 4.60%, 4.28%, 2.37%, 1.97%,1.86%, 1.84%, 1.56%, 0.70% respectively.

Energy Index has an upward momentum during the trading session which recorded a gain of 1.68%. Shares of Hindustan Petroleum, BPCL, IOC, Reliance Infra, ONGC, Powergrid, NTPC, Reliance, Tata Power were in the gainer side with a gain of 5.83%, 4.85%, 3.88%, 3.72%, 2.30%, 1.96%, 1.17%, 0.98%, 0.41% respectively while Gail was the only loser in this Index with a loss of 0.47%.

Metal Index recorded a gain of 1.17% which was closed at 2,810.85.Shares of Sail, JSW Steel, National Aluminium, Vedanta Limited, Jindal steel, Hindalco, Tata Steel, APL Apollo, Hindustan Zinc, Hindustan Copper, Moil were the gainers with a gain of 3.90%, 2.61%, 1.98%, 1.94%, 1.67%, 1.55%, 1.20%, 1.08%, 0.32%, 0.25%, 0.07% respectively while shares of Welcorp, Jindal stainless limited, Coal India, NMDC were the losers with a loss of 3.72%, 2.22%, 0.94%, 0.11% respectively.

Realty Index has gained 1.10% with shares of India bulls realesate, Phoenix Ltd, Sun Teck, Brigade, Prestige, DLF gained by 11.60%, 4.41%, 1.70%, 1.48%, 1.02%, 0.74% respectively whereas shares of Oberoi Realty, Sobha, Godrej Properties Mahindra Life space were the losers ,lose by 1.77%, 1.54%, 0.98%, 0.72% respectively.

IT Index closed at 15,933.95,recorded a gain of 1.00%. Shares of Infosys, Wipro, HCL Tech, TCS,Tata Elaxi, NIIT Tech, Mind tree, OFSS were having positive notes with having a gain of 2.38%, 1.15%, 0.90%, 0.77%, 0.67%, 0.50%,0.39%, 0.37% respectively. Shares of Infibeam, Tech Mahindra were the losers in this Index with a loss of 0.24%, 0.03% respectively.

Bank Index closed at 28,855.30, recorded a gain of 0.83%. Shares of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, SBI, IDFC First Bank,HDFC Bank, Federal Bank were having positive notes with having a gain of 1.81%, 1.61%,1.56%, 1.38%, 1.35%, 1.23%, 1.12%, 0.31% respectively. Shares of YES Bank, RBL Bank, IndusInd Bank, PNB were the losers in this Index with a loss of 3.32%, 2.69%, 1.62%, 0.97% respectively.

Auto Index has gained 0.45% with shares of Tata Motors, Hero Moto Corp, Eicher Motors, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto, MRF, TVS Motors, Mother son Sumi system,Bosch Ltd gained by 3.42%, 2.27%,1.60%, 1.53%, 1.05%, 0.73%, 0.47%, 0.21%, 0.03% respectively while shares of Bharat Forg, Mahindra & Mahindra, Apollo Tyre, Exide Industries Limited, Maruti, Amara Raja Batteries Limited were the losers, lose by 0.85%, 0.39%, 0.34%,0.22%, 0.21%, 0.08% respectively.

FMCG Index has recorded a gain of 0.15%. Shares of Tata Global, Britannia, HUL, GSK Cons, Jubilant Food works Limited, USL, UBL were the gainers with a gain of 11.12%, 1.16%, 0.99%, 0.78%, 0.68%, 0.66%, 0.53% respectively while shares of Emami Ltd, Godrej Industries Limited, PGHH, Marico, ITC, Dabur, Godrej Products, Colgate palmolive were the losers with a loss of 1.44%, 1.23%, 1.09%, 0.58%, 0.52%, 0.44%, 0.42%, 0.24% respectively.

Pharma Index stood as the only loser of today’s trading session which recorded a loss of 0.21%. Shares of Auro Pharma, Divi’s Lab, Sun Pharma were the gainers with a gain of 2.16%, 1.70%, 0.59% respectively while shares of PEL, Glenmark, Cadila healthcare, Cipla, Biocon, Lupin, Dr. reddy were the losers with a loss of 4.27%, 2.09%, 1.69%, 1.18%, 1.06%, 1.04%, 0.13% respectively.
