DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 30 MAY 2019

Rupee opened 12 paise higher at 69.71 as against dollar on Thursday, after closed at 69.83 on Wednesday due to positive opening in domestic equities along selling of the American currency by exporters. Rupee closed 4 paise lower against the dollar at 69.87. Rising crude oil prices and foreign fund out flows weighed on the domestic currency. USD/INR touched intraday low of 69.70 and high of 69.93. Meanwhile, Sensex ended 0.84 per cent or 329.92 points higher at 39831.97 and NSE Nifty 50 Index rose 0.71 per cent or 84.80 points to 11945.90 . The RBI set a reference exchange rate for dollar at 69.88.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading 7 paise higher at 77.82 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.78, which was previously close at 77.89. Meanwhile, the RBI set a reference exchange rate for Euro at 77.00. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.24 and 0.63 respectively. The RBI set a reference exchange rate for 1 pound sterling at 88.47, while for 100 JPY at 63.97. The other currency pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.78, 16.68, 18.63 and 19.01 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 109.68. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 122.20. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.26. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.69, 0.65, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
