DAILY CURRENCY MARKET 22 MAY 2019

Rupee opened 5 paise higher at 69.68 on Wednesday after settling at 69.73 on Tuesday. The rupee Closed 6 paise higher at 69.67 as against the dollar amid easing crude oil prices. USD/INR touched intraday low of 69.62 and high of 69.80. Nifty ended 28.80 points or 0.25% up at 11737.90, and BSE Sensex ended with a gain of 140.41 point or 0.36% to 39110.21. The RBI set a reference exchange rate for dollar at 69.72.

The Indian currency (INR) was trading 8 paise lower at 77.78 as against Euro. The currency pair EUR/INR opened at 77.82, which was previously close at 77.69. Meanwhile, the RBIset a reference exchange rate for Euro at 77.72. The Currency pair GBP/INR and JPY/INR were trading at 88.11 and 0.63 respectively. The RBI set a reference exchange rate for 1 pound sterling at 88.62, while for 100 JPY at 63.28. The other currencies pairs ZAR/INR, MYR/INR, SAR/INR and AED/INR were trading at 4.85, 16.64, 18.59 and 18.98 subsequently.

The USD/JPY was trading at 110.33. The currency pair EUR/USD was trading at 1.11. The paired currency EUR/JPY was trading at 123.30. Elsewhere, the currency pair GBP/USD was trading at 1.26. The other currencies pairs AUD/USD, NZD/USD, MYR/USD and SAR/USD were trading at 0.68, 0.65, 0.24 and 0.27 respectively.
