OIL PRICES FELL ABOVE 3PC ON WEAK DEMAND

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Jun 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 3867.00 per barrel, down by 3.06 %, after opening at Rs. 3973.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 3989.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 3836.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 3973.00 per barrel.

Oil fell on Friday and held on track for its biggest monthly drop in six months as comments from U.S. President Donald Trump ramped up trade tensions, weighing on the demand outlook.

Gold prices jumped in futures trade on Friday, supported by strong demand by jewellers at spot markets and firm global cues. But, Silver futures traded with negative note on reduced orders from industrial units and coin makers.

MCXCOMDEX opened with negative note at 3629.21 and traded down by 0.72 % at 3611.06. Commodities like Gold, Aluminium, Natural Gas, Lead, Nickel were stood as top gainers, gained by 0.53%, 0.35%, 0.28%, 0.24%, 0.21% respectively. On the other hand, Crude oil, Mentha oil, Zinc, Copper, Cotton, CPO, Silver, Cardamom futures were stood as top losers, lose by 3.06%, 1.16%, 0.95%, 0.67%, 0.59%, 0.27%, 0.26% respectively.

NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.19 per cent or 23.10 points lower at 11922.80 and Sensex fell 0.30 per cent or 117. 77 points to 39714.20.
