CARDAMOM, COTTON AND CPO RISE; MENTHA OIL FALLS

At the MCX, Mentha oil futures for Jun 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 1276.00 per kg, down by 2.91 per cent, after opening at Rs. 1280.20 per kg, against a previous close of Rs. 1314.30 per kg. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 1271.00 per kg and high of Rs. 1274.00 per kg.

Mentha oil suffered sharp losses in futures trade on Today due to slump in demand by consuming industries at the spot market.

Cardamom stood as the top gainer in the afternoon trading session due to high demand while Cotton and CPO were also traded in positive note.

Oil rose on Monday, supported by Middle East tensions and OPEC-led supply cuts, though concern over the U.S.-China trade dispute and global economy capped gains.

MCXCOMDEX opened with positive note at 3654.43 and traded up by 0.33 per cent at 3665.71. Commodities like Cardamom, Cotton, Copper, Silver, Gold, Crude oil, CPO, Lead, Zinc, Natural Gas, Aluminium, Nickel were stood as top gainers, gained by 1.40%, 1.05%, 0.63%, 0.46%, 0.44%, 0.34%, 0.32%, 0.28%, 0.26%, 0.22%, 0.17%, 0.09% respectively. On the other hand, Mentha oil stood as only loser, lose by 2.91%.
