CRUDE OIL PRICES UP 1.14% ON UPBEAT GLOBAL CUES

At the MCX, Crude oil futures for Jun 2019 contract was trading at Rs. 4082.00 per barrel, up by 1.14 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4070.00 per barrel, against a previous close of Rs. 4036.00 per barrel. It touched an intra-day low of Rs. 4070.00 per barrel and high of Rs. 4108.00 per barrel.

Crude oil futures traded with positive note on today after two sessions of losses, but remained on track for its biggest weekly drop this year due to rising inventories and concerns of an economic slowdown.

Gold and Silver were trading lower due to some selling by investors and industrials amid clarity over political uncertainty.

MCXCOMDEX opened with positive note at 3639.58 and traded up by 0.40 per cent at 3647.49. Commodities like Nickel, Zinc, Mentha oil, Crude oil, Lead, Aluminium, Cotton, Copper were stood as top gainers, gained by 2.42%, 1.40%, 1.38%, 1.14%, 0.64%, 0.38%, 0.28%, 0.05% respectively. On the other hand, Silver, Gold, Natural Gas, CPO, Cardamom futures were stood as top losers, lose by 0.41%, 0.33%, 0.28%, 0.27%, 0.14% respectively.

Indian indices ended near day's high level on May 24 after BJP led NDA government got clear mandate in the Lok Sabha Election 2019. NSE Nifty was up 187.05 points or 1.60% to 11844.10, and BSE Sensex ended with a gain of 623.33 point or 1.61% to 39434.72.
